Excellence in Leadership

Author: Steve Hardy
Date: February 24th, 2012
Key Words: Leadership, vision, team development, conflict resolution, leadership transition

This is the second chapter in Excellence in Theological Education (published in English by Lanka Press and as an on-demand book by amazon.com. It also exists in Spanish, Portuguese and Amharic). An excellent leadership training institution understands what leadership is.  It is more important for leaders to be than to do, although leaders need to do well in providing vision and a plan, in building, equipping and encouraging a team, in teaching and master teaching, and in representing the school publicly.  Finding, encouraging and developing good leaders may be the most important piece of what makes a good program excellent. Includes a brief bibliography and discussion questions.
