This article discusses the interpretation of the parables and how they can be taught in the context of Brazil. It looks at various modes of interpretation and discusses their relevance. It concludes with a description of a teaching programme on the parables which the author has delivered to his students. This presentation was made to the Centre for Theological Education, Belfast in 2009.
