This article deals with the need for theological education to become intentionally a servant of the mission of the church with special reference to India. It explains how this is needed today and then goes on to discuss what needs to be done in India to realise this goal, including how to relate theological education to the church, integrating academic excellence with social and missional interactions, and a closer scrutiny of the curriculum.
